Frost Amphitheater Rules
Frost Amphitheater would like all of their guests to have a safe and enjoyable time during the show. For that reason, they’ve created a set of policies and guidelines that must be followed. Please take the time to read these policies before the show. Failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund. If you have any questions about these policies then please contact the venue staff once you arrive or call Stanford Live at 650.724.2464.
Fans attending a show at Frost Amphitheater are permitted to bring a select few items:
- Personal blankets up to 40” x 60” in size, carried on their own or in a clear bag
- Clear bags up to 12” x 12” x 6” in size
- Small clutch bags
- Empty or reusable water bottles up to 20 oz, not made of metal, that can be used at refill stations by the restroom building once inside
- Personal food items in clear Ziploc bags
- Factory-sealed water bottles up to 20 oz.
A security check is in place on entry — lines can be long, so leave plenty of time to pass through.
Animal Policy
Guests are not permitted to bring pets to any event at the Frost Amphitheater. The exception is ADA-registered service animals. Please speak to the venue for more information and to make arrangements.
BAG POLICY
A clear bag policy is enforced for all patrons attending Frost Amphitheater. Any bag guests bring must be clear, up to 12” x 12” x 6” in size. Prohibited bags include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Backpacks
- Non-clear drawstring bags
- Fanny packs
- Any non-clear plastic bag
- Coolers
- Glass containers.
BLANKET POLICY
Blankets are permitted to be used on your lap or to stay warm but must fit in your clear bag. Blankets cannot exceed 40″x60”
CHAIR POLICY
Chairs with legs, outside alcohol, coolers, and tables are not allowed.
Cash policy
As with many venues, Frost Amphitheater mainly operates on a cashless basis. This means purchasing goods or merchandise is easiest using credit cards, debit cards, or mobile payments. Guests may prefer to carry some cash, just in case.
child policy
Children are allowed to attend shows at Frost Amphitheater, unless otherwise stated. An adult must accompany anyone under 18, while tickets are required for all children regardless of age.
EXCHANGE POLICY
Your tickets may be exchanged for another performance equal or greater in price value at Frost Amphitheater (subject to availability excluding Goldenvoice performances) or donated as a tax-deductible donation to Stanford Live. The general public will be charged a $10 exchange fee. Stanford students will be charged a $4 exchange fee.
FOOD POLICY
Permitted food and beverage items include bagged snacks and personal food items, factory sealed water bottles 20 oz. or under (1 bottle per person), and empty, reusable water bottles. If the reusable bottle is over 20 oz it must be non-metal. Water refill stations are located near each restroom building in the venue. All snacks and bottles must fit in your clear bag.
Other food and beverages are available from on-site vendors.
MASK POLICY
Masks are not required to attend events at Frost Amphitheater. Though the event staff asks that you not come if you are sick or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or any similar infectious condition.
PROHIBITED ITEMS POLICY
The following items are not allowed within the venue. Please leave them at home or in your vehicles. Items found to be against the policy may be confiscated.
- Chairs with legs (for example, low-back lawn chairs are not allowed)
- Aerosol cans
- Weapons of any kind
- Any bag not permitted in the bag policy
- Liquids in non-factory-sealed bottles
- Outside alcohol
- Metal cutlery
- Glass of any kind
- Overly large blankets (over 40″ x 60”)
- Tables
- Umbrellas
- Coolers
- Picnic baskets
- Strollers
- Animals (except service animals as defined by the ADA)
- Cameras with detachable lenses
- Any other audio or video recording devices
- Smoking and vaping devices
- Glow or light sticks
- Flags, flag poles, or totems
- Laptops or tablets.
Smoking policy
Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside the Frost Amphitheater. At some shows, there may be dedicated smoking areas — please see your event information or speak to venue staff on the day.
VACCINATION POLICY
Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test is not required to attend outdoor events at Frost Amphitheater. By purchasing tickets to an event at Frost Amphitheater, you agree to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event, which may include, but are not be limited to, wearing masks, providing proof of vaccination status and/or providing proof of negative COVID-19 test.
WEATHER POLICY
Events at Frost Amphitheater happen rain or shine. This means that excluding the most severe of weather patterns, your event will not be canceled due to rain.
